Rental example: monthly costs and move-in liquidity
A synthetic household plans a 75 m² apartment with €1,800 dwelling rent and additional costs. Values come from the existing reference scenario, without a real address or market forecast.
Synthetic inputs, not a market forecast, offer or statement of generally applicable legal limits. Every result is calculated by the same pure functions as the tool. This example does not save or overwrite simulations.

Understanding the results
Monthly housing cost includes the recurring items entered; included heating is not counted twice. Move-in liquidity includes the first month, deposit due and one-off expenses. The deposit is blocked liquidity, not a non-refundable expense. Landlord returns use modelled investment and costs; cash flow includes the full loan payment.

Official asking-rent and index snapshots have their own periods and versions. Some regional rent indices and reference tools remain external or manual sources. Asking rents are not legal limits. Rule notices are not a complete contract review. Landlord figures exclude personal income tax and forecasts of property appreciation.
Interpretation
Monthly housing costs exceed dwelling rent alone. The deposit and one-off expenses add to move-in needs. The deposit is separate because it ties up funds rather than automatically consuming them.

Existing Luxembourg rental rule version; tenant and landlord inputs from the engine reference scenarios. No municipality or market comparison is assumed. Agency fee allocation follows the existing engine and the commissioning input.
